"Mandarin is hard", "Mandarin is not fun". These are the common things that I often hear from my students or tutees learning Mandarin. I, myself, also share the same sentiments when I was young, and yes, I had been learning Mandarin in a traditional Chinese school in Manila since I started schooling, and during those years, I am only exposed to traditional and strict way for learning Mandarin.
That is why when I learned how to teach Mandarin in a progressive way, it has been my teaching philosophy. Learning is FUN, learning SHOULD be fun especially for kids. I have been trying my best to create worksheets in which I integrate different worksheet activity that I is being used in English. There are a lot of different English activities available, but only a little for the Mandarin language.
It was hard for me during my first few years of teaching, but as years go by, through the guidance and enormous patience of our head of education that time, I was able to understand and figure out slowly how to integrate these English activities into all my Mandarin class ( Pre-Nursey, Nursery and Kindergarten ).
Play and learn Mandarin for FREE. Go ahead and try some the worksheet that I have created.
